My name is Noah Denney and I am a professional touring and studio
musician based in Nashville, TN, USA. I owe my career to the myriad of
things I learned while under Carl’s tutelage. In 2009, I graduated from
Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Music degree,
emphasis in performance. Since then I have toured the globe several
times over with some of the biggest bands in the world.
My name is Jonathan Chapman, and I am a professional percussionist and timpanist, working in the UK. I studied with Carl Jenkins throughout most of my time at high school, and he is easily one of the biggest reasons that led me to pursue this career. He made playing the drums more fun than any other teacher. He then steadily got me into playing orchestral timpani and percussion, and now I have a busy and successful career as a professional musician.

The word ‘practice’ is hardly unfamiliar to Mr. Jenkins’ students, and though it fell on the deaf ears of my younger self, when I was ready to practice and dedicate myself, he was there with excitement and enthusiasm to help develop me into the musician I wanted to become. He pushed and encouraged me to improve on the drum kit and expanded my musicianship to include orchestral percussion, which I never knew I would come to love.

me through my music journey, as well as the important details of drumming. As an adult student, I was nervous about picking up an instrument but I am now very confident with his help. Carl Jenkins is undoubtedly a very gifted musician and also a highly skilled teacher. My name is Nitin Natrajan and I have had the tremendous privilege of being Carl’s student
for coming up to seventeen years. He has taught me not only the drums, but
orchestral percussion as well. He actively encouraged me to keep it up even when I went to
university and insisted, I audition for their orchestra and thanks to his tutelage, I got in. He is patient when things
don’t go right and is jubilant when hard work pays off.
My name is Vincent Chiu. I am a senior and have retired. I am interested in playing drum set. Currently I go to Mr. Jenkins' Studio every week to practise playing it for fun. All musical instruments are of professional standard and in good conditions. The room acoustics is very well.
When I encounter problem in playing some notes or bars, I will seek Mr. Jenkins' guidance. He teaches me with his fantastic skills that impresses me much.

My son attends Teacher Carl's drum lessons. Every lesson is exciting and interesting. Teacher Carl is patient and encouraging. My son loos forward to his drum lessons and is inspired to practice his drums at home daily. Teacher Carl has build my son's love for music and increase his passion to pursue percussions I am thankful for his advice and feedback to guide my son.
We had two different teachers, until 2020 when our son started with Carl.
Almost immediately, we saw our son’s drumming improve significantly. Carl’s positive attitude, willingness to always listen and help have been a very positive influence on our son. Because of Carl, our son is so passionate about drumming and it is great fun

I was looking for a drum school and a kind teacher to teach my 15year old son Elliot
who has Down Syndrome. Though he was not trained in special needs, he was
willing to read up on his condition and give it a shot.
Carl went along with Elliot's requests, within reasonable boundaries, to learn and play the songs that he likes. He has improved so much!
