Bamn Music Centre is a twenty-year dream that has finally come true.

Most drum schools offer the dream of becoming the next great Rock drum set player but that is such a narrow way of viewing the percussion family of instruments. Bamn Music Centre offers the chance to learn all genres of music on the drum set as well as the main orchestral percussion instruments, which include the timpani and the marimba. I have been performing since I was 15 years old and teaching for more than twenty three years and I have enjoyed watching students discover the thrill of playing Jazz, R&B, Rock, Gospel and Latin music on the drum set as well as playing marimba, timpani and snare drum in percussion ensembles or marching bands.

We all exist in part because of a constant rhythm. When we add the elements of melody and harmony to our essential ‘heart beat’ then and only then can we discover the complete joy that is offered through the medium of music. The percussion family is the only family of musical instruments capable of simultaneously incorporating these three elements and that is what makes it so special.
